Authentic wedding photography for San Francisco and The Bay Area

Vibrant, full-of-life photography for your wedding day

Choosing a photographer for your wedding is a huge decision. You want to look back on your photos and remember every little detail about your big day. That breathless moment you saw her walk down the aisle.

When she squeezed your hand during your first dance. The way they stole a glance at you when you weren’t looking. Those feelings of love, hope, happiness—that’s what I want you to feel when you flip through your wedding photos.

My approach to wedding photography is focused on highlighting honest, real, genuine moments.

I want this to be seamless, stress-free, and a fun experience for you. We’ll make the planning process just as fun as the actual day of your wedding! I’ll walk you step-by-step through the wedding day timeline so there aren’t any surprises. We’ll go over any questions or concerns to make sure your big day goes off without a hitch!

HOW IT WORKS

  • 1. Let's Be Friends

Tell me all about your upcoming wedding! Once you send me your contact form we’ll get in touch to schedule a phone call to chat more about your wedding, budget, and expectations.

  • 2. Pricing + Info

I always want the couples I work with to feel comfortable and confident in the investment they’re making. I’ll send over my pricing guide and additional information so you can discuss moving forward with our partnership. Am I the photographer for you? I hope so!

  • 3. Signed, Sealed, Delivered

If you decide to move forward with me (YAY!), I’ll send an electronic contract for you to sign. At this time I also require a 25% deposit to secure your spot on my calendar. Keep in mind the remaining balance will be due 1 week before the wedding.

  • 4. Celebrate Your Engagement

Because I just can’t wait to meet you, we’ll get together before your wedding for a complimentary engagement session! This will give us a chance to get to know each other and figure out our vibe. We’ll chat about what to wear, what location to choose, and any other questions to prepare you for your first photoshoot!

  • 5. Gimme The Details

A month before the wedding you’ll receive a questionnaire to fill out with all the details about your wedding. We’ll confirm your date and location and set a wedding day timeline to keep us all on schedule. About a week before the wedding I’ll reach out again to go over any last-minute changes or details before I see you at the altar!

  • 6. You Had Me At "I Do"

You’re getting married today! Holy cow! I know you’ll be filled with excitement—as you should be!—so I’ll help keep you on schedule to make sure we get all the shots we talked about. During first looks, when you walk down the aisle, even during the bouquet toss, I’ll be there. And don’t worry if you miss your nephew’s cute little dance or your sorority sisters doing the Electric Slide. I’m your eyes today. Candid snapshots are right up my alley.

  • 7. Sneak Peek

A week after your wedding I’ll give you a little tease with a sneak peek of your wedding photos! This will be a small collection of shots from your wedding to tide you over. I like to include a variety of photos in your sneak peek, such as images from the reception, walking down the aisle, and those starry-eyed lovey-dovey couple photos. You know the ones. ;).

  • 8. Your Wedding Day Gallery

The final gallery of your wedding photos will be ready within 4-8 weeks after your big day. As part of my editing process, your photos will be professionally color corrected and retouched. To make it super easy to get your photos, you’ll be able to download high-quality images to print or share online with friends and family. I’ll suggest a print shop where you can order prints for top-of-the-line archival-quality products.

  • 9. Memories To Last A Lifetime

Did you know some of my wedding collections come with complimentary wedding albums? And even if your package doesn’t include one, you can still add this as an à la carte option. I love creating high-end luxe photo albums for the couples I work with, printed from a professional photo lab, of course.

“Jeanie photographed our wedding in Berkeley at Cragmont Park as well as our indoor reception. We just couldn't have asked for a better experience. Jeanie is AMAZING!!! She takes the most beautiful photos! She really has a way of capturing the moment. With the help of her assistant photographer, she was able to get our huge family all in one picture, as well as take so many wonderful candids of our special day. We also did an engagement session with Jeanie before the wedding. She had some really great ideas for the setting and made us feel so comfortable (even though we tend to feel awkward in front of a camera). We are so blessed to have found Jeanie and to have so many beautiful photos of this time in our lives! If you are looking for someone who is just a delight to work with, as well as extremely talented, Jeanie is the one!”

FAQS

FAQS

  • My goal as a wedding photographer is to capture vibrant, honest, and timeless images of your bid day. I love mixing portraits of the couple, fun group photos, and in-the-moment candid shots. I recreate the experience of your wedding through photojournalism for you to relive and revisit time and time again.

  • On average, I provide 75-100 photos per hour shot. After the wedding I take the time to edit, polish, and retouch your images so they’re ready to be printed, posted on social media, and sent to grandma and grandpa to go on their refrigerator! I love recommending print shops that make it easy to print your photos. This lab uses wonderful products to achieve archival quality.

  • My turnaround time for you to receive the final gallery of your photos is 4-8 weeks after your wedding. I know, I know, “4 to 8 weeks, that’s a long time!” I hear you. That’s why I send you a little sneak peek 1 week after your wedding with a few images from your gallery. Feel free to share them with your friends and family, as I’m sure they’re excited to see your photos too!

  • Coverage hours will depend on the size of your wedding and the location. I recommend 6 hours for intimate weddings in one location with 80 guests or less. 8-10 hours for weddings in multiple locations with 80+ guests. You can expect to budget 2 of those hours before the wedding. This is the time we’ll use for portraits, group photos, and to capture the wedding party getting ready before the ceremony.

  • After the wedding, I curate your photo gallery by selecting each image and working through my editorial process.

-I back up your photos on several hard drives to ensure nothing is lost.

-First I remove images that don’t help tell your story. (Such as photos with closed eyes, awkward facial expressions, etc.)

-Next, I color-correct and tone the images to my editing style. I love incorporating vibrant, true-to-color editing.

-Then I’ll organize your images into chronological order. From there, they’re separated into “chapters” for easy viewing, such as Getting Ready and Ceremony.

  • I use top-of-the-line Canon equipment. 2 R6 camera bodies, 24-70 mm lens, 70-200 mm lens, 50mm lens, 85mm lens, 35mm lens, and Godox on and off camera lighting equipment. I use a vast array of lenses, depending on what I’m photographing. And yes, I also have liability insurance! If your venue or wedding planner needs a copy, let me know!

  • Yes! My wedding collections include myself and a second photographer (shooter). The second shooters are all professionals whom I’ve worked with before. They also have a similar shooting style to mine so we keep your photos consistent. The benefit of working with a second shooter is that we can cover a lot of ground and capture moments happening simultaneously. You can rest assured nothing will be missed on your big day!

  • I lean into a photojournalistic style of photography. Meaning I use photos to tell an honest, authentic story. All the sweet smiles, ugly cries, heartfelt speeches—I capture them all. I believe in honoring the most intimate and raw moments we experience with one another, and I hope it shows in my photos.

SAN FRANCISCO

Getting Married at City Hall?

“I needed a photographer last minute for a surprise proposal the day before my now-fiancée and I were moving out of San Francisco. Jeanie really came through! My surprise plan was a massive success. She knew San Francisco very well and we are extremely satisfied with our photos taken in two of our favorite SF spots. She helped us relax and pose naturally, and we got our high-quality edited photos very soon. I would highly recommend Jeanie to anyone who wants to take beautiful photos in the bay area.”
